Hopefully by the time this is published we won’t be stuck at home, but in case you are, here’s a fool proof list of our favorite summer fragrances that we know you won’t need to smell ahead of time to fall in love with.
Burberry Her “Blossom” Eau de Toilette $109
Blossom is “a love letter to London in bloom”. This floral spinoff is bright, energetic and youthful, with added notes of plum blossom to top off the baseline of the original Her scent, this is a perfect floral perfume for the modern young woman.
Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb Dew, $165
This ultra-feminine version of the cult-favorite original Flowerbomb, smells like a rose garden in the early morning, with sweeter notes of amber and vanilla, formulated to “melt” into the skin. Some key notes are bergamot, pear accord and ambrette.
Ouai “North Bondi” Eau de Parfum, $56
An actual beach in a bottle. You thought you smelled them all until you’ve experienced North Bondi. It’s that iconic summer “just left the beach-salty tresses-time to go out for drinks” scent. North Bondi is clean, bright and citrusy with a baseline of white musk, sandalwood and pachouli that is topped off with notes of bergamot, jasmine and Italian lemon. It’s fresh, crisp and so perfect for summer.
Glossier “You” Eau de Parfum, $60
Certified Femmezoner favorite, I can’t leave the house without saturating my aura with this scent. I get asked at least 3 times every time I go out to dinner or drinks or basically any social gathering, and I always end up plugging their website into phones or full-on convincing them all together to purchase it right on the spot. Yes. It’s that good. If it ever gets discontinued (honestly, not down to even talk hypothetically), I will probably buy out the whole website whilst crying into a bucket of ice cream and then proceed to write a long letter to founder + Glossier CEO Emily Weiss and ask her why she’s personally Regina-George-ing me. It’s beautiful no matter the season, but is extra magical + romantic during the summer. The scent was made to blend with your natural PH, making you smell perfectly…you.
Replica Beach Walk, $130
If you could capture Summer in a bottle, well, Replica did when creating Beach Walk, which is the perfect combination of salt, sand, the familiar sea smell, coconuts, the faint scent of sunscreen on skin… truly, it’s a hard fragrance to put words to. You’ll have to take my word for it and ask for a sample next time you walk into Sephora. You might just end up buying the whole bottle (or five).
